For most people the world has become too complex. They loose grip and feel helplessly stupid and unpowerful. As a survival mechanism they follow opportunitistic leaders promising an order in which they are the dominant group, somehow capable of controlling life through simplified black&white images with good heroes (we) and bad villains ('they').

This anti-intellectual thinking is resulting in unrealistic expectations, communicative gridlock and inferior decision-making. This is leading to more dissapointments and further radicalization of those incapable of dealing with the world as is.
